My heart goes out to those who went through the same tragedy and even worse because some people lost people they love. My family is extremely grateful to be alive and still trying to process going to sleep and then waking up to our worst nightmare. People are asking what we need and the truth is that we need everything you could think of because we only have the clothes we were sleeping in. There were 6 of us in the house and 4 of us made it to the basement 30 seconds before the tornado took the top 2 levels of our house. My mother and grandmother were swept up with the tornado and thank God are okay. My grandmother is in the hospital with a broken back and stitches. My mother made it out with just bruises and a swollen knee. I am 6 months pregnant and devastated all of this is happening to my family and others. We unfortunately lost 4 vehicles that only had liability so insurance is not able to help. It’s hard to even ask for help but I feel like there is nothing else we can do at this point. I have no expectations of an amount to be raised so I just put 10,000 even though it seems like a crazy amount to ask for. Thank you and please never taken life or anything else for granted.
