- I
Dear friends,
My name is Dr. Mahmoud Hussein, and at 25 years old, I recently graduated as a doctor. Since October 7th, I have been volunteering in hospitals in Gaza to provide care for the injured and sick.
My family of ten—adults, teenagers, and children—is enduring unimaginable suffering. On November 5th, 2023, our home was destroyed in the war, leaving us homeless. Since then, we have been living in a fragile tent that offers no protection from the heat, cold, or wind.
Every day is a struggle for survival. We face hunger, thirst, and illness without proper food, clean water, or sanitation. My younger siblings often cry from hunger, and without access to adequate medical care, even minor illnesses can become life-threatening.
My father is unemployed, and we have no income. We are completely dependent on outside help to survive.
With your generosity, you can help provide my family with shelter, food, clean water, and medicine. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference and bring hope in this darkest of times.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing with us.
– Dr. Mahmoud Hussein
