This is me, Ibrahim, living with my family. With the brutal war, all our dreams were destroyed. With the war, the lights came on and went out, causing us to be displaced from a number of places, moving between the rubble and demolished homes, and moving to tents, after the Israeli batons destroyed our home and the warm place that embraced me and my family, razing it to the ground. Life there was difficult with the heat, insects and infectious diseases, as we avoided the continuous gunfire and shelling. In all of this, even there, the calm proved fleeting, as the echoes of war reverberated without interruption. Our attempt to seek asylum through the Rafah crossing was met with another harsh demand: a huge sum of money just to pass through the Rafah crossing. Here we stand, my family and I, once surrounded by the warmth of happy times, now rushing into the cold, unforgiving embrace of uncertainty and displacement. Our plea is simple yet profound: Help us regain the chance for a new beginning. Your donation is not just a contribution; it is a lifeline and gives us the opportunity to rewrite our story.
