Hi everyone, my name is Angelica, and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest moments my family has ever faced. I’m putting together this GoFundMe for my mom, who has been in the hospital since April 2nd.

For months, my mom has been struggling with a persistent cough that just wouldn’t go away. She kept trying to push through it, hoping it was something minor. After countless worries, questions, and doctor visits, things took a serious turn when she was admitted to the hospital with fluid on the inside of her chest cavity and it completely collapsed her left lung and there was a severe infection.

Since then, everything has happened so fast. We’ve learned that there is a tumor on her lower left lung on the outside, and she has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer called Adenocarcinoma. Hearing those words has completely shaken our world.

She is still in the hospital today and recently underwent lung surgery. Watching her go through this seeing her fight, her strength, and also her pain has been incredibly overwhelming. She has always been the one taking care of everyone else, and now she needs us more than ever.

I am creating this GoFundMe to help support my mom and our family during this incredibly difficult time. The medical bills are already piling up, and there are everyday expenses like mortgage and other bills that don’t stop, even when life feels like it has. My hope is that this will allow my dad to stay home with her, to be by her side, to care for her, and to not have to worry about how everything will be paid for.
