Donation protected
My name is Sari Abdalhadi, a Palestinian from Gaza who live in Mississauga, ON Canada. I’m reaching out for support to help my family members get out of Gaza and arrive in Canada.
My Family:
Yasmin Abdalhadi - Mother (43 Years)
Mohammed Abdalhadi - Brother (20 Years)
Layan Abdalhadi - Sister (18 Years)
Omar Abdalhadi - Brother (12 Years)
I’m willing to bring my small family that have big dreams to Canada, My siblings, Mohammed in his 3rd year of computer science, Layan just graduated with honors from high school and was willing to apply for nursing school, and Omar studying 9th grade and is a member of Palestinian football association under Al Hilal team where his dream is to become a goalkeeper.
My small family are currently living in Rafah, South of Gaza Strip in a 1-bedroom house with no electricity or running water, minimal food and medicine access and supply. There is no safe place to live in and are living in poverty-stricken area under harsh economic conditions. My young sister Layan has been going through lots of panic attacks. Due to the poor housing conditions and unclean water access, my wife and mother face gastric infections and can’t have medical access due to limited hospital space.
Your Donation:
With many of us witnessing the atrocities that are taking place in Gaza, we feel limited in what we can do to make actual change but with your help/support my family has an opportunity to survive and live safely.
Calculating the initial-year expenses to cover the significant costs associated with their journey, relocation, and initial resettlement in Canada I am confident that, with your support, I can share this burden and pave the way for a hopeful future for my family.
The urgent assistance will cover the
• Application fee for 4 people
• Expenses of leaving Gaza. “people in Gaza have been asked by Egyptian board to pay $5.000 per person regardless the age, to be allowed out of Gaza”.
• The stay in Cairo for 2/3 weeks waiting for the biometric/paperwork.
Your donation is not just a contribution; it is a lifeline that will resonate beyond my family. Together, let's keep the spirit of generosity alive and ensure that the positive impact extends far beyond our own journey. Every dollar brings us one step closer to a future filled with hope, resilience, and the promise of new beginnings.
Share this post, donate if you can, and let's show that we stand together as a community. Thank you!
Our Story:
When the Arab-Israeli war of 1948 broke out, my grandparents were shoved to flee their villages where they became refugees in Gaza which is where my parents were born. In 2014 we were warned to evacuate our home at Alhadi building “family building with 3 floors and 6 flats” then it was bombed making all 6 families to live apart in several different locations in Gaza strip.
On October 13, 2023, and after 76 years from the first flee and 8 years from the second one my family faced the same horrific situation, they lost our second home and mini market business forcing them to flee with a backpack with only a change of clothes outfit to Nuseirat Camp along with thousands of others.
As the days passed by, the bombings intensified, explosions could be heard once every 5 to 10 seconds. My grandparents place in Al Nuseirat Camp was bombed on the 27th of October 2024 where my aunt, her husband and kids total of 12 family members were all slaughtered leaving us in hopelessness, misery, and despair. My family were determined to abandon the area and head south.

Case Background:
On December 21st, 2023, the Canadian government unveiled a transformative immigration measure aimed a glimmer of hope for aiding Canadians and Permanent Residents extended family members in Gaza. You can learn more about this on the Canadian government's website:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2023/12/immigration-measures-to-help-people-affected-by-the-israelhamas-conflict.html
While the Canadian government is offering a lifeline through this program, it's important to note that they will not provide any financial assistance/support, placing an overwhelming fiscal responsibility on individuals like me. This is clearly mentioned in the government announcement:
