Hello, It is very difficult and even embarrassing for our family to write this, but we have reached a moment where we truly need help.
We are a family of three- my husband, myself, and our 5-year-old daughter. We have been living in the United States for four years. We entered the country legally and have always tried to live honestly, follow the law, work hard, and support ourselves without asking for assistance. Recently our lives changed suddenly when my husband was detained by immigration officers while he was at work. He has always been the main provider for our family, working very hard physical jobs in the moving industry as a truck driver and mover. To deal with this situation we had to borrow money for an immigration attorney and later for the bond required for his release. Because my husband was detained while working, his employer is now also asking for compensation related to towing the truck and unfinished deliveries.
After his release my husband was placed on electronic ankle monitoring, which has made it very difficult for him to return to normal work.
Right now I am working several jobs and doing everything I can to keep our family afloat, but it has become extremely difficult to cover our basic living expenses and the debts that suddenly appeared. Our 5-year-old daughter loved her sports and activities, but unfortunately we had to cancel them because right now we are simply trying to survive and keep a roof over our heads. We have started cutting back on everything — electricity, water, and daily expenses. I have even begun selling personal belongings just to cover essential needs. Unfortunately, despite all of this, it is still not enough. This unexpected situation has placed enormous emotional and financial pressure on our family. Every day we try to stay strong for our daughter, but the uncertainty is overwhelming. The funds raised will help our family cover urgent expenses such as immigration legal fees, debts related to the bond and work situation, rent, utilities, and basic living costs while we try to get through this difficult period. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to our family. If you are not able to donate, simply sharing our story would also help us greatly. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any kindness or support.
Take care of yourselves and your families.
