Since 2022, my family and I have faced homelessness on and off, struggling to find stability and a safe place to call home. Last December, we finally secured an apartment, but the challenges didn’t end there. I had a high-risk pregnancy and couldn’t work for months, and just two months ago, I gave birth to my son after an emergency c-section. I’m still healing, and the stress of recovery has been compounded by the fear of losing our home. My six-year-old daughter, my eighteen-year-old daughter, and our cat are all depending on me, and we’re now three months behind on rent, facing eviction this month. We’ve reached out to churches and local organizations, but the help we’ve received hasn’t been enough to keep us afloat.
The funds raised through this campaign will help us catch up on rent and provide the stability we desperately need while I heal and work to get our life back together. I’m doing everything I can to return to work, and my eldest daughter is searching for a job as well. As a single mother, I want to ensure my two younger children can get into schooling and daycare, and that we can keep our family together in a safe home. We recently lost our car, which has made transportation to doctors appointments and emergencies even more difficult—my baby son spent 16 days in the NICU, and we’ve had multiple ambulance trips since. Any amount of support would mean everything to us. Your kindness could help us stay in our apartment and avoid going back out on the streets. Thank you for reading our story and considering a donation to help my family.
