Howdy, my name is Samantha, and I never thought I would be here asking for help. This is completely out of my comfort zone, but my kids and I are facing the hardest time of our lives.

Since June 24th, my husband has been detained and is waiting for deportation. I’ve been a stay-at-home mom for the past five years, and suddenly everything has fallen on my shoulders. We just moved out of a hole we lived in for 5 years because of eviction . On top of that, bills keep piling up — electric, phone, gas, and insurance — and I’m struggling to keep up.

Right now, I’m working during the limited hours when my kids are in school (8:30 am–1:30 pm, five days a week). Unfortunately, those hours don’t bring in nearly enough to cover what we need, and driving apps don’t pay enough to catch us up. We need help with first and last months rent for a new place and possibly a couple of months rent to cover us until I can figure all this out and as I try to find a way forward for me and my three kids. Any donation, big or small, would mean the world to us right now. If you can’t give, please share our story — it truly helps more than you know.
