My name is Nicholas, and I’m reaching out for help for myself, my wife, and our kids. I’m a CTE teacher paid at the substitute rate, and recent policy changes have taken away our eligibility for paid vacation and sick leave. With the cost of living rising, my wife and I now work four jobs between us, but we’re still struggling to afford rent and keep up with basic expenses. I’m working 12 to 14 hour days, and the exhaustion is really taking a toll on me and my family.

We’re doing everything we can to stay afloat. The stress of not knowing if we’ll be able to cover rent or give our kids food is overwhelming. I want to be able to provide for my family and give them a sense of security, but right now, we need a little extra help to get through this tough time. After the summer, I will be back to regular pay and hours and be ahead again, I just need to make it through the summer.
