My name is Michael, and I’m reaching out for help during one of the most challenging times my family has faced. Recently, while riding my motorcycle to work, I went through a construction zone and hit debris that caused my bike to slide out from under me. The accident left me with two broken ankles—my right ankle suffered a compound fracture and now has an external fixture, while my left is in a cast. I can’t walk at all and have to use a commode in the living room.
I’m the only one working in my household, and my recovery means I can’t return to work until at least January 27, 2026. My short-term disability is delayed and won’t cover all our bills, especially since I usually work many hours of overtime each week just to keep us afloat. Rent is due, and I haven’t been paid in three weeks. After paying what bills I could, I have very little left. My child is in ROTC and dreams of joining the Air Force, which is why we live in Millard—I want the best future for my family, but right now, we’re struggling to keep the lights on and cover basic needs like school lunches.
The funds raised will help us cover rent, utilities, and essential expenses while I recover. Your support will keep our home stable, ensure my child can continue their education, and help us get through this difficult time until I can return to work. I would personally thank anyone who could help. God bless your families and the work you are doing in the name of Jesus. It would mean the world, and there would be no way I could thank you enough for your support.
