Help a Medical Student in Gaza

My name is Hisham Mohammed, I am a 23-year-old 5th year medical student from Gaza. I work in a hospital in North Gaza, but do not earn a salary.

I have created this campaign to provide for my family, which includes my mother, my grandfather, my brother, my sister, her husband and their 2 year old child.

My family and I were separated for over a year: they had moved towards the South while I remained in the North, and we were separated by a checkpoint. In January, we were finally reunited and we stayed in a shelter together until recently, when we found a small apartment to rent.

For months, my family and I have been struggling to survive and to access basic necessities, and I have continued to work to provide medical care to my community even as my own health worsened.

We urgently need your donations in order to be able to afford food, water, rent and other necessities.

COST BREAKDOWN FOR 6 MONTHS:

As of May 16th 2025, we have raised 12,195 euros. Most of these funds have been used since the start of the campaign to cover my family and I’s needs. These calculations are for the money we need to cover our needs for the next 6 months.

Rent: 500 USD/month

Water and electricity: 430 USD/month

Internet and hygiene: 350 USD/month

Food: 700 USD/month

Transportation: 300 USD/month

Medical: 400 USD/month

Education costs: 5000 USD for the year

Total for 6 months: 21,080 USD
