Hi everyone, my name is Praise, Maria's/Cyda's little sister. My sister passed away on Sunday, December 18th in New York. As many of you know, she was raised in San Francisco and our family is on this side of the US. I'm hoping to help my family raise enough money to transport her back home so that we can say goodbye to her. This fundraiser goal feels steep because in addition to the services here, we also have to pay for her to be brought to San Francisco on top of everything else.

I know times are incredibly tough and it's the holiday season, but I mean it when I say that anything helps and is greatly appreciated. My parents are struggling as it is to bury their child, and I'm hoping that I, along with the community and second families my sister has built, can help take some of the load off of my parents' shoulders.

My sister was the most kind, loving, empathetic, and supportive person that I had the privilege to call my sister, and I know she's been a surrogate older sister for others. I hope to give her the proper send off surrounded by those she loved most and those who loved her the most.
