Hi everyone!

As a Chicanx 1st generation college student who will be the 1st from his family to graduate from college, it is my dream if my family could partake in this celebration. Coming from California to New England has been an amazing experience for the past 4 years and it is something I will cherish all my life. Providence College has helped me shape  to be the person that I am, from my academics, professors, faculty, friends to my involvement, and on May 21st I will be graduating with a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology and a minor in Black Studies. I come from a really humble background, and my parents had to work so hard to get me through college, and at one point I was working 4 jobs to help my parents. This past year hit my family hard, as my mom had a surgery that kept her from not going to work almost all of 2016, and my dad is a migrant farm laborer, having being unemployed for half of the year. Due to these and many other circumstances, my family had to use our small savings for my graduation to get through the year, and now it is looking harder for my family to see me graduate.  I know I have made National City and my family proud, and seeing them while I walk on the stage graduating would mean the world to me. I am kindly asking for any donations to help my family come to Rhode Island this May.
