I am a devoted father of two young children, one of whom is four years old and has severe autism and is non-verbal. Over a very short period, I have faced a series of significant hardships. I lost my employment, my vehicle, and my housing. At the same time, I was granted full custody of both children after their mother decided not to continue parenting them. Despite these challenges, I have remained fully committed to providing a stable and nurturing environment for my children.

I have actively sought help and enrolled in a Rapid Rehousing Program, which allowed me to secure housing for my family. We are now working to establish reliable childcare services. However, the main barrier I continue to face is the lack of transportation. Without a vehicle, I am unable to consistently commute to work or transport my children to school, daycare, and essential services—placing my family’s stability at continued risk.

I have demonstrated resilience, accountability, and a strong commitment to my children’s well-being. Access to reliable transportation would be a critical step in allowing me to maintain employment, support my family, and continue building long-term stability.
