After my divorce, I became the sole provider and caregiver for my four children. For the past three years, I have carried the full emotional and financial responsibility of raising them alone while trying to keep stability in their lives during an incredibly painful transition.
Due to legal and financial complications related to the mortgage not being in my name, our home went into foreclosure despite my efforts to maintain payments. It was not because I did not want to pay, but because I was legally unable to protect the home my children sleep in every night.
This home is the only place my children have ever known as “home.” It is where they grew up, where their memories live, and where they feel safe.
During this already difficult time, one of my daughters became seriously ill and was hospitalized. She was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis, a lifelong autoimmune disease that she will carry with her for the rest of her life. Watching your child face a lifelong illness is something no parent is ever prepared for.
My son has also struggled deeply with depression as he tries to cope with emotional changes and instability. My younger children have been affected as well, navigating confusion, uncertainty, and the emotional weight of everything happening around them.
As a mother, I try to be strong for them every single day. I handle the medical appointments, the therapy sessions, the school responsibilities, the legal matters, and the financial pressure — all while trying to protect their sense of safety and normalcy.
I am doing everything I possibly can, but I cannot carry this alone.
Donations will go directly toward stabilizing our housing situation, addressing urgent foreclosure-related costs, legal expenses, and supporting my daughter’s ongoing medical care and my son’s therapy. Every contribution will help protect my children’s stability, health, and future.
I am reaching out with humility and hope. If you are able to donate or even share our story, you are helping a mother fight to keep her children safe and secure.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing with us during this difficult time.
