Help my family relocate and rebuild after Dorian
Donation protected
Hurricane Dorian hit the islands of Abaco and Grand Bahama without apologies. It destroyed almost everyone’s home and caused many to relocate. My family was not spared. I am the daughter of Scott and Myrtie Lowe, Erika Murray. I live in North Carolina with my husband and am going to use any and all money collected to help my family relocate and rebuild. At the moment, my Dad and one Aunt is still in Green Turtle Cay working tirelessly to recoup with hope of rebuilding. But they are living in survival mode and in their mid and late 60’s. My mother was flown out and relocated to Nassau after her blood pressure skyrocketed and dehydration. My sister, her husband and three young girls have also had to relocate to Nassau. My brother, his wife and three dogs have temporarily relocated to Florida. All of them left with nothing but maybe a few pieces of clothing, but their homes have been destroyed. Relocating for my family has been the hardest part, not knowing what tomorrow brings without any secure income.
My family is not one to ask for handouts, but I don’t know how else to help them. So here I am asking for something I know they never would. Attached is a picture of my parents home.
