My name is Don Mendiola, and I am raising funds to support my father, my sisters, and their families as they recover from the devastation caused by Super Typhoon Sinlaku in the Northern Marianas Islands.
The storm caused severe damage across the island. My father lost his home entirely, and my oldest sister’s home sustained significant flooding, with the full extent of the damage still being assessed. We are incredibly grateful that everyone is safe, but the recovery process ahead will be challenging.
With extended power outages expected, my family is facing urgent day-to-day needs. Funds raised will go toward essential items such as generators, fuel containers, battery power banks, fans, food, and basic cooking supplies to help them safely get through this period without electricity. Because many supplies are currently limited or unavailable locally, I plan to purchase necessary items in Hawaii and ship them directly to my family for immediate use.
These funds are intended to help cover urgent needs and bridge gaps while my family navigates recovery and seeks any available assistance. Any support, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference during this difficult time.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
