My name is Shelby, and I'm reaching out for help on behalf of my family. Recently, my partner Tj suffered a devastating accident at work—he fell off a ladder and into another ladder, resulting in a broken femur, hip, and thigh bone. He is currently in the hospital, and while we are grateful for the care he is receiving, we are facing a lot of uncertainty about what comes next.

Tj is our family's sole provider, and with me being a stay-at-home mom, his injury has left us without an income. We don't have a working vehicle to get him to his medical appointments once he is discharged, and we're struggling to keep up with our rent and bills. On top of that, we only have Medicaid, which in Missouri only covers inpatient physical therapy, so we may have to pay out of pocket for the therapy Tj needs to recover. We also have a 3-year-old son who is still in pullups and a 12-year-old daughter, both of whom have their own needs that we're trying our best to meet.
