HELP MY FAMILY RECOVER AFTER THE FIRE

Donation protected
Hey, I'm Arianny as most of you may know me. I'm starting this fundraiser for my family to recover from the tragic loss of our apartment and all our belongings. I'm a single mother of two beautiful kids and currently expecting my 3rd child in a few weeks. My pregnancy is high risk and ever since the fire I had anxiety imagining what will happen next and how I will get us back on our feet.

December 14th, 2021 at 7:30- 8 pm our worst nightmare started. A fire started at our neighbors that quickly spread to our home. At first, I was unaware of what was happening. As I remember we just got off the shower getting ready for bed for the kids to go to school the next day. As I'm in my kitchen preparing milk all of a sudden the lights started flickering, then the smell of burned wires. I panic and try disconnecting all electronics in the home and turned off the lights. As I'm calling our landlord to come check what's going on all I saw was a bursting flare of light outside my kitchen window, and all I felt was a burst of heat. This is when I realized there's a fire & it was already coming through my kitchen walls. I screamed scared in panic for my mom to grab the kids and get out.

The panic and fear I felt all I thought about was running out of the house and getting everyone to safety. It was too late to even grab some clothes for the kids for the cold night. But in a split second between all the screaming and running, my 4-year-old autistic son locked himself in the room next to the fire. This is when I panic the most thinking I was going to lose my child, as my mother and I tried knocking the door down to get him out my 6-year-old daughter is screaming "OMG MOMMY, WE ARE GOING TO DYE". No way on earth I'm was going to let this happen. But God was good, and we were able to open the door and get him out. Everything happened so fast I had no time to react. I was in shock. My kids were naked, it was cold outside, my mother is scared, and I was just crying and I had to be rushed to the hospital with sharp pain and contractions, worried that my unborn child was also in danger.

We are all safe and healthy. Fortunately, no lives were lost between the houses involved, but the damage was severe making our home and the others non-habitant. Even though we tried going back in to recover some things it was impossible. I just want to thank our community families from the school P.S 481 for stepping in immediately and getting some clothing and many other things in an emergency like this.

These funds are for the purpose of trying to relocate and being able to find a new home, furniture, clothing and other necessities to get back on our feet. It's unfortunate this had to happen around this time of the year, but we are trying to stay strong and keep it positive, hard times come around but I believe there's always a bright light after the storm. Any help will be well appreciated and we are so thankful and grateful for any kind of support. At the end of the day, all that matters is no lives were lost and we are healthy.

We might not spend this Christmas or New Year as we wished, but my family and I would like to wish everyone a Happy Holiday and to stay safe. I believe in god and I know he wants me to maintain faith and be strong. It could be scary how life could change from one moment to another, but always remember to be grateful and thankful because you don't know what might happen tomorrow. I'm beyond grateful we are all healthy and made it out safe, but it becomes hard to accept reality and the obstacles we might face.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY HOLIDAYS ! From Our Family to Yours.
