On Christmas Eve, December 24, 2025, at around 3:00 am, my parents' home—my childhood home—was engulfed in flames. I am deeply grateful that my mom, dad, and disabled sister made it out safely, but our hearts are heavy for the loss of our two kittens. My father bravely ran back inside to save them, but the smoke was overwhelming and the fire blocked his way. He had to escape through the burning house to the backyard, barely making it out in time. My 6 year old niece also live there but luckily she wasn’t there at the time.
I moved out with my own family just a year ago, but this home holds so many memories and sentimental value that cannot be replaced. My parents lost everything—clothing, shoes, personal hygiene items, blankets, and the comfort of their home. While things can be replaced, the loss of cherished memories and the trauma of this event are immeasurable. What matters most is that everyone is safe, but the road ahead will be challenging as they rebuild their lives from scratch.
My family needs help with essentials and temporary housing. Anything you can give will help them get back on their feet. Thank you—any support means the world to us.
