My family—my aunt, dad, stepmom, and brother—lost everything in a devastating house fire. The only ones home at the time were my brother and my aunt, who is disabled and uses a wheelchair. As the fire began, my brother acted quickly to get the dogs out and did everything he could to help my aunt escape. In the chaos, my aunt suffered a broken femur and is now awaiting surgery. My brother is in even more critical condition, currently on life support due to severe smoke inhalation. His lungs are badly burned and filled with soot, and the doctors have told us that the next 10-14 days are crucial for his recovery. We are holding onto hope, even as we prepare for the worst.

This tragedy has left my family without a home or any of their belongings.
