Help My Family Recover After House Fire

On June 20th, 2025, our family’s life changed when a fire forced us out of our home. Thankfully, everyone made it out safely, but we are now facing the challenge of rebuilding our lives while staying in a hotel. I’m a single parent working graveyard shifts to support my three children and my disabled mother. My youngest son has severe, nonverbal autism and is struggling without the comfort and routine of home. My mother, who lives with us, has a broken back and multiple pelvic fractures, making this situation even more difficult for her.

We lost our kitchen essentials in the fire and need help covering hotel costs and the insurance deductible. Our dog and cat are also affected—they can’t stay in the hotel with us and are exposed to the intense heat outside. The disruption has been especially hard on my children, who are already coping with anxiety and PTSD. As a domestic violence survivor myself, I know how important it is to ask for help when things feel overwhelming.
