I never imagined I would be in this position, but I’m reaching out for help after a devastating loss. I’m a mother of five children, and I work hard every day at Tudors in Proctorville, Ohio to provide for my family. Just as I was driving home from work, I started to smell smoke. I quickly pulled over and got out, only to see flames underneath my car. Within moments, the fire overtook the entire vehicle.

Everything inside was lost—my purse with my wallet, cards, and money, all of my kids’ Christmas gifts that I had left in the car to keep safe, two car seats, and the stocking stuffers I had just bought the day before. Everything I had prepared for Christmas was gone in an instant. I’m devastated and heartbroken, not just for myself, but for my children who were so excited for the holidays.

Any support I receive will go directly to replacing my children’s Christmas gifts, car seats, and stocking stuffers. If there is anything left, it will help us with groceries and saving up for a new car so I can get to work and my kids’ sports and activities. I never thought I’d have to ask for help, but I want to give my kids a Christmas and get back on my feet.
