Last night, during a severe storm, my mom's apartment caught fire—likely from a lightning strike. The fire forced my mom, step dad, three sisters, two brothers, and their three cats to leave their home with only the clothes they were wearing. They couldn't grab any clothes, hygiene products, medicines, or personal items. What made the situation even more unsettling was that the apartment complex's sprinkler system didn't activate, and there was no water in the building. Firefighters had to connect their hoses from down the street to fight the blaze.
Although my mom has insurance, there is a deductible and the process is slow. Right now, the family is unable to access much of the apartment, and it looks like a total loss. They urgently need hygiene products for seven people, medicines for two, and basic essentials like food and clothing. Donations will help replace these everyday items and cover the insurance deductible, providing immediate relief while they navigate this difficult time.
We are a praying family, and your support—whether through donations or prayers—is deeply appreciated. Any contribution, no matter the size, can make a big difference. Thank you for your kindness and for helping our family get back on their feet.
