Hello my name is Shiloh Smith.

I’m starting a fundraiser for my family after a tragic fire that wiped out their livelihood.

For over 118 years my family has been farming. For the last 18 years, my family has been raising beef, pork, chicken and eggs for local family’s and Farmer’s Markets – in a little over an hour it all burned to the ground everything that my parents have worked so hard to build is gone. To say they lost everything would be an understatement. Their meat shop was full of butcher equipment, freezers that were packed full of meats, walk-in-refrigerator was full of eggs, Farmer’s Market booth equipment (tents, coolers and signs) and their mechanic shop full of necessary tools, equipment to maintain their livelihood.

My Mom and Dad work the farm every day and now a huge part of what makes everything come together and possible to do their work is gone. While they are not the type to ask for help and truly don’t know how to ask, starting over is the only option they have and I felt a huge need to create this fund to somehow help them out with their emotional and financial burden and immediate needs.

It has always been my family’s mission to provide the highest quality meats and eggs to our customers and local families in Northern Virginia.

Yes, they had insurance but that will take many months to settle, not to mention the insurance company is already trying to lowball them. We need help now please.
