Just yesterday, my family experienced a devastating loss due to the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles. Our childhood home, the place where my parents raised us and built a life and countless memories, was completely destroyed. My parents, my five siblings and their beloved dog managed to evacuate with only a small bag of clothes each. Tragically, our four family cats were lost and didn't make it.

This home was a symbol of my father’s hard work and resilience. Coming to Los Angeles from Mexico with nothing but a dream, my dad built a successful construction company from scratch. That dream led him to purchase this home, which he poured his heart into by remodeling and extending it with his own hands.

Today, that home and everything inside it is gone. All that remains is the foundation. And it’s not even just our family that has been affected, our entire community has been completely ravaged by these fires.

My entire family is now left without a roof over their heads and are in desperate need of help. Your generosity will provide critical support as we navigate this heartbreaking time. Donations will initially go toward temporary housing, food, clothes, and other immediate needs.

In the long term, we hope to rebuild the home that meant so much to us. If rebuilding is not possible, the funds will help us relocate outside of California and start over.
