I am starting this fundraiser for my family after an overwhelming series of tragedies that have changed our lives in a matter of days and weeks. On March 5, my father passed away suddenly from a heart attack, leaving us kids to carry on our fifth-generation farm without him. The very next day, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. As we were still trying to process both of those heartbreaking blows, our family was hit by a tornado that destroyed so much of what we depend on every day, including the farm, the machine shed, many fences, other farm buildings, and causing major damage to the house on the farm.

Right now, we are staying with our mom, so we are not homeless, but the house on the farm needs a lot of work and repairs. This fundraiser will help with the expenses of making those major repairs to the house, as well as the long road of rebuilding our family farm after the tornado. My family has always worked hard, and this farm means so much to us because it has been in our family for generations. If you are able to help in any way, it would mean the world to my family.
