Late Friday evening, our lives changed forever. My parents were relaxing in the front room of the house we’ve called home for over four decades when a fire broke out in the garage. My youngest daughter’s boyfriend happened to be driving by on his way home from work and saw flames coming from our house. He quickly called my daughter, Alaura, who then called my mom and told her to get out immediately. Thanks to their quick thinking, both of my parents were able to escape just in time.

Within moments, the single-family home that held all our memories was engulfed in flames and burned rapidly to the ground. We lost everything—our home, my parents’ only vehicle, all our clothes, shoes, coats, food, books, jewelry, and even the smallest essentials like socks and underwear. It’s hard to put into words how overwhelming it feels to have nothing left but each other.

We are reaching out for help as we try to rebuild our lives from scratch. The funds raised will go directly toward replacing the basics—clothing, food, and personal items—as well as helping us find temporary housing and transportation. Adding in to the story, I changed the picture from the late night picture to this one. The 2 windows were the ladders are going up to are my bedroom windows ,(Jillian Doty), the 2 windows above the garage that aren't there anymore was where my parents bedroom was at and the 2 bathroom in the upstairs floor. Around back was the 2 back bedrooms was my daughters each had their own room one green and one purple .

So now my parents are at a motel and are scrambling trying to get insurance however that's going to work. I don't know. They have a rental bc their only vehicle was in the garage that burnt down. And I can't help until the 3rd of each bc I'm on disability myself. And I am recovering from a broken hip bone but healing by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Love Him so very much. If it wasn't for God. I'd be dead!!! I'm so grateful for all of your support and prayers. Thank you all!!!
