My name is Jackie, and I never imagined I would be writing something like this.
Last night, my daughter’s husband, Jay, the father of my grandchildren, passed away after being taken off life support following a devastating accident. Our hearts are completely broken.
My daughter and her five children are in Florida, while Jay was in Massachusetts. They were not able to make it in time to be by his bedside before he passed, and that is something no family should ever have to endure.
Now, they are trying to make the trip to Massachusetts to attend his funeral, say their goodbyes, and begin the grieving process together as a family, but they do not have the financial means to get there on such short notice.
We are hoping to raise $4,000 to help cover:
- Emergency travel expenses for my daughter and grandchildren
- Transportation once they arrive
- Food and basic needs during their stay
- Any unexpected costs during this incredibly difficult time
As a mother and grandmother, it is heartbreaking to watch my family go through this and not be able to ease their burden.
