HELP.. my family needs help with medical expenses

My name is Jenny, and I have created this fundraiser for my Aunt Lillian and my Uncle Jerry (who is also my godfather). My cousins, Michael and Becky (their children), have been providing updates.

On December 29nd of 2021, my uncle was admitted to Resurrection hospital due to Covid complications. Two days later, my aunt was also admitted to Resurrection for Covid complications as well. Luckily my aunt was only there for a week, and was released to go home. Even though she is home, she still needs supplemental oxygen at times and at-home therapy since since she is still weak.

 

As for my Uncle Jerry, he was hospitalized for over 6 weeks.  While there, the doctors discovered he had Leukemia which had prevented a stable recovery.  They could not treat his cancer until they could heal his lungs, get him breathing with less oxygen dependency as well as eating better on his own. He received a blood transfusion and surgery to insert a small feeding tube.  This is because  the standard treatment  and medications for infection caused depletion of nutrition and inability to eat. 

**Update 2/20/22** While there were several triumphs during his stay and even a brief release for home health care for rehab, he ultimately was rushed back to the ER with severe abdominal pains on 2/18/22.  They found internal bleeding and he passed away just over 24 hours of being readmitted. This has been devastating.

 

My aunt and uncle’s insurance didn't cover 100% of the intensive medical treatment he received.  

I want to help my aunt with their remaining medical bills to bridge the gap in coverage.  My uncle was the sole earner who was working at the time prior to falling  ill and there will be no income which will affect mortgage and groceries for my aunt.  

 

Our entire family was praying everyday for them, but prayers  only went so far.  My aunt is left with unexpected health/financial struggles that are overwhelming.  So if you can find it in your hearts to make a donation for this cause, it will change my aunt's life for the better.
