Help Mai And Her Family Rebuild Her Life After War In Gaza
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Bisan, and I recently moved to Canada after being evacuated from the ongoing war in Gaza. I am reaching out to you on behalf of my beloved sister, Mai, who is in desperate need of help.
Before the war, Mai lived a stable, fulfilling life. She is a proud mother of three beautiful children, and together with her husband, they worked tirelessly to provide for their family. They owned two thriving salons that were the cornerstone of their livelihood. Never in their wildest dreams did they imagine they would one day be struggling to survive. Life was good, and they were self-sufficient, never needing to ask for help.
But since the war began, everything has changed. Their home was partially destroyed, and the two salons that sustained their family were reduced to rubble. In an instant, they lost their income, stability, and security. Now, Mai and her family, along with several other relatives, are living in a tent—19 people in total, including 9 adults and 10 children. The conditions are unbearable, with no clean water, proper sanitation, or basic safety. Every day is a reminder of the life they once had and how quickly it was taken away.
Living in a tent is not a life. The children, who once had their own rooms and warm beds, are now exposed to the cold and the elements. The coming winter is especially frightening. Mai fears for her children, as the tent offers no protection from the cold, and it breaks her heart to see them in such a desperate situation. The thought of spending winter in a tent is unbearable, and that is why I am asking for your support.
We are trying to raise $40,000 CAD (approximately $30,000 USD) to help Mai rebuild her home and prepare for the harsh winter months ahead. Without a proper home, they face the terrifying prospect of enduring the cold, with little more than a tent to shield them.
Here is how your donations will be used:
$25,000 - Rebuilding their home: This will go toward repairing the damage and providing a safe, warm place for Mai’s children and family to live.
$2,500 - Winter essentials: These funds will be used to buy warm clothes, blankets, and other necessities to protect the family from the cold. Currently, they don’t even have enough warm clothing for the kids.
$2,500 - Replacing household items: This will help them replace basic furniture and household items lost in the destruction, so they can live comfortably again.
$5,000 - Basic living expenses: These funds will help cover the cost of food, hygiene products, and medical care while they work to rebuild their lives.
$5,000 - Preparing for the future: Mai and her family will use these funds to regain stability, whether by reopening one of her salons or finding a new way to generate income.
As of now, 19 people are living in conditions unfit for human habitation. The children are cold, hungry, and traumatized by the war, unable to understand why their lives have been turned upside down. The trauma of war has deeply affected everyone, and the family is desperate to provide their children with a sense of normalcy again.
Your help will make an incredible difference in their lives. By contributing, you will help Mai rebuild her home and give her children the warmth and safety they deserve. Every donation, no matter the size, brings them one step closer to regaining the life they lost. Your generosity will not only rebuild their home but restore hope in their hearts.
On behalf of Mai, her husband, and their three children, I want to express our deepest gratitude for any help you can provide. Together, we can help them leave this tent behind and return to a home where they feel safe, warm, and secure.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any assistance you can offer. Together, we can rebuild their lives and bring hope back into their world.
With deep gratitude,
Bisan, on behalf of Mai and her family
