Hello everyone,

My name is Vanessa, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my family in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. When the recent hurricane struck the island, it caused devastating damage to our community — and sadly, our family home was among those destroyed.

As the storm worsened, my mother and sister were injured while trying to evacuate when the house began to cave in around them. Thankfully, they survived, but they were left shaken, hurt, and without a safe place to stay. My family has lost almost everything and is now struggling to recover — finding food, clothing, and temporary shelter has become a daily challenge.

It’s incredibly difficult for me to watch all of this unfold from afar, knowing the pain, fear, and hardship my loved ones are enduring. Being unable to be there with them in person makes it even harder, but I’m doing everything I can to support them from where I am — and that’s why I’m asking for your help.

The funds raised will go directly toward:

Rebuilding and repairing our damaged home

Covering medical care and recovery for my mother and sister

Providing food, clothing, and essential supplies

Securing temporary shelter for the family until the home is rebuilt

Our goal is $10,000, and every single donation — no matter the amount — will help bring safety, comfort, and hope back to my loved ones.
