My name is John Kintz. I was born and raised on the island of Saipan in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands — the place that made me. My mother, my brothers, my sisters, their families, and generations of our family heritage are all rooted there. It is not just where I am from. It is who I am.
A devastating typhoon just tore through Saipan and took nearly everything from them. The roof is gone, the electrical system is damaged, furniture is soaked and ruined, flooding swept through the home, and mold is already building up. The destruction is total, and the road back feels impossible right now.
I am a U.S. Air Force veteran living in San Antonio, Texas, and I want more than anything to make this right but I simply don’t have enough on my own right now. Every dollar raised will go directly toward emergency repairs, mold remediation, and getting my family back under a safe roof. If you can give anything at all, it means the world. And if you can’t, please share this with someone who can. Thank you.
