Help my family in Eugowra rebuild after the flood

My aunt Alison has asked me to set up this fundraiser so that she, my uncle, and her sister can rebuild their homes in the tiny NSW town of Eugowra. On Monday 14 November a disastrous flash flood occurred, leaving my family minutes to escape.

The water has destroyed their (two) homes and belongings. Because the town is situated in an area prone to flooding of Mandagery Creek in heavy rain, insurance premiums are impossibly high or not offered. Flooding like this has never happened before in Eugowra, though, at least not in my lifetime (40 years). Until Sunday night's rain, the corner of town where my aunt's and grandmother's houses are had never experienced water higher than the concrete slabs on which they're built. They have no insurance for this disaster, and the best assistance we can provide is donations to help with the costs they face now.

They've lost everything. As the only homes of our immediate family, all family photos and precious items are gone. My grandmother has recently been admitted to hospital and is gravely ill. My aunt and uncle had relocated to Eugowra from Sydney a few years ago and moved in with my grandmother to care for her.
