My name is Shannon, and I am creating this fundraiser for my family after the heartbreaking loss of my brother, Sam. As many of you know, Sam's body was found in a heavily wooded area near our family property off Blue Run Road in Minden. We are still trying to process this painful loss, and the grief has been overwhelming for all of us, especially for my mother and for Sam’s daughter. In the middle of mourning, we are also facing the difficult reality of covering his final expenses and making sure the people he loved most are cared for during this time. It is important to me to make clear that my brother Sam has a daughter who needs support as well, and our family is doing everything we can to be there for her through this loss.

The funds raised will help with Sam’s cremation and memorial services so we can honor his life with love and dignity. They will also help my mother, who now lives alone far outside of town without transportation. We are hoping to get her truck fixed and, if possible, help move her closer to town so she can more easily access groceries and other basic necessities. They will also help us support Sam’s daughter as she navigates this painful time. She was his world, and any help for her would mean so much to our family.
