On Saturday, August 15, my dad unfortunately got taken into ICE custody on his way back home, and my family is now going through extremely difficult and uncertain times. After not knowing about his whereabouts for 2 days, we got a call from him that he was taken to the Adelanto ICE Detention Center, despite him already being in the process of getting his documents fixed.

My dad has always been hardworking, and he has always cared so much for us despite being tired from having to work 3 jobs and still finding the time to be with his daughters. He always looked out for us, and he has always seen the good in things even when times were rough. He never gave up, and he always looked for ways to get a better life for my sisters and himself while keeping a smile on his face. He got detained by ICE even though he had already started the process of getting his documents fixed.

My two sisters and I are now left behind in charge of everything and are struggling emotionally and financially. We are raising funds to help cover the cost of legal expenses and representation, as well as household needs like rent and food. These funds will help us so much with attorney fees, rent, food, and utilities. My sisters and I are still young, and we are also trying to figure life out. We will continue to do everything possible to get my dad back home safe with us.

Although we are all deeply devastated, we will continue to work harder and do everything we can to help my dad get out as soon as possible. We are thankful for everything, and we will keep praying we get our dad back because we all miss him so much, and it is never going to be easy not having him around.
