Hi, my name is Jaime, and I’m raising funds to help my family—my partner and our six children, ages 17, 13, 11, 9, 2, and 1. We’ve always worked hard to provide for our kids and keep our home stable, but this year brought challenges we never saw coming.

On Thanksgiving Day, our family van—the only vehicle big enough for all of us—broke down. The transmission failed, and because it was no longer under warranty, the repair costs were far beyond what we could afford. Even though I was still making payments, I had no choice but to surrender the van. Losing our only transportation has made it incredibly difficult for me to get to work and for us to manage everyday life with so many kids.

We do receive some government assistance, but it simply isn’t enough to cover everything, especially after this unexpected setback. Christmas was especially hard this year, and we’ve been doing our best to stay hopeful, but every day has felt like an uphill battle.

I’m asking for help to raise enough money for a down payment at a buy-here-pay-here dealership so I can get a reliable vehicle as soon as possible. Having transportation again would allow me to keep my job, get our kids to school and appointments, and bring back a sense of stability for our family.
