I am a single 42-year-old mother with four kids, and we are currently without a home. My journey has been filled with challenges—just recently, I beat breast cancer and had to undergo a mastectomy. In 2023, I lost my twin brother, which led me to stay in New York. My mother and I gained custody of his 3 children. Then, within 6 months of his death, we got the news my 30-year-old sister had stage 4 colon cancer. When I found out my baby sister was also battling cancer, I gave up my lease to be here for her, but sadly, she passed away in September 2025. As I was trying to heal, I lost my grandfather in January 2026. These losses have made it clear that I need to remain in New York for at least another year to support my family and myself. My mom and I, along with these kids, deserve some relief. I just want a home for my mom, kids, nieces, and nephews. It’s been a long, stressful journey, but with the power of God, we have been able to make it through this.

Because I thought we would be starting over in the South, I had to throw away everything we owned. Now, my four children, my mother my brothers kids along with my moms adopted 10 yr old, and I are starting from scratch. The funds raised will go directly toward securing a safe place for us to live, covering moving costs, and helping us furnish a new home. We have nothing left, and any help is deeply appreciated.
