In July 2025, my husband Haruna Zakaria was kidnapped by ICE and imprisoned at Delaney Hall. Haruna is not guilty of any crimes, and he has been a positive role model to my son and an upstanding member of the Newark community. His sudden detention has left our family devastated and struggling to cope with the emotional and financial fallout.

We are facing urgent expenses including legal fees, rent, utilities, groceries, transportation, family medical needs, commissary, and phone calls. Every day is a challenge as we try to keep our family together and support Haruna during this difficult time.
