My name is Nickeita Jones, I reside in Brampton Ontario and I work in the Social Service field. I am reaching out for support for my family and friends greatly impacted by Hurricane Melissa as I am unable to do it alone.

In the wake of Hurricane Melissa, My family, grandma, brothers, aunties, uncles, and cousin and our community, in Jamaica has been totally devastated. Many families, including my own, have lost their homes, belongings, and livelihoods. Roads are blocked, power is unstable, and access to clean water and food is a daily struggle.

My families and the Jamaican peeople has great resilience and they are a strong and loving people, but the scale of this disaster has left them in urgent need of help. Roofs have been torn away, crops and small businesses destroyed, and children are struggling find warm dry place to sleep and to even have supplies to return to school.

Donation received will be go toward sending food items and basic supplies home. Also to aid in rebuilding homes and roof, and provide school supplies, and home esstentual for those in need to restoring hope to those who’ve lost so much.
