Help My Elderly Father Nathaniel Fix His Home
Donation protected
Hey there. I'm new to this and truthfully never thought I'd ever considering using this as an outlet for help but with things as they are I feel it's important to do what I can.
To elaborate I'm my father's, Nathaniel Williams's first son of two. My father is a very loving and caring man who would do w/e it took to make sure his family was well taken care of even at his own expense. He's 68 now and retired living his days out with both me and my brother. Neither of us are employed which is a fault of our own that I don't want to gloss over but due to our father's love he still makes sure we have food in our bellies and a roof over our heads through all the problems it's had and still have tackling them on his own.
We've never had a particularly well kept home as it was old to begin with but it's been serving us through thick and thin as it's slowly degraded over the years to wear and tear from nature and the like. Water damage, sunken walls, missing ceilings ( as portrayed in the photo ), pest both roach and recently rat related...it's a mess to say the least.
My father very recently was admitted to the hospital due to building medical complications that he pushed passed for the sake of making sure things were kept going in the household as well as his general adversity to hospitals from lingering generation based built mentalities. I don't fault him for it though it has caught up with him and as you can imagine I've been immensely worried. My father does so much for my brother and I and we can't do much but wait on our thumbs so to speak and hope he's going to be ok.
It's why I've come to this platform to ask for assistance. Not for my brother and I but for my father. He's a 68 year elderly man who doesn't deserve to live in this manner. He deserves a safe reliable sturdy home that he can he can enter and rest his head down in without worries of water leaking through the roof or various pest roaming the house among whatever other problems plague him. It's a lot I seem to be asking and truth be told I'm not even sure if it's enough but I feel with this it can at least present a window of release from a plethora of these problems for my dad and allow him to be more at peace.
If you find it in your heart to believe my plea to be true and want to help I would greatly appreciate it and I know he would too. Thank you kindly for time.
