Hi, my name is Syd, and this is my dog Koda. Koda is 14 years old and has been experiencing some health issues as of September of 2024. Because of a lipoma near his chest, Koda has been living in a cone since January of 2025, and we are unable to take it off of him without him immediately bothering the lipoma. He lives in this cone 24 hours a day and I cannot imagine it is comfortable. Since February, the lipoma has began to open, scab over for a few weeks, then reopen and bleed everywhere, staining his cone, our carpet, blankets... you name it. It's gotten worse each time and is hard to maintain when he doesn't like me touching his leg where the lipoma sits. With his age, putting him under anesthesia is a risk, but it is a risk I am willing to take for him to have a better life without living in a cone.

I am doing this because I simply have no other options. I am a full-time student, about to start graduate school in July, and though my dog means the world to me, my savings has been drained from this lipoma situation among other vet visits. Koda is my entire life, my entire soul, and I don't want to see him in this condition any longer than I already have. I love my dog more than I love myself. I wouldn't be here without him. Please help me get this lipoma removed so that he can live more comfortably for as much time as I have left with him, whatever that may be.
