My dog has always been more than just a pet—she’s been my closest companion, especially now that my children are grown and away at college. After long, difficult shifts, she’s the one who greets me at the door, bringing comfort and joy to my days. Recently, our lives changed in an instant when she was hit by a driver who didn’t stop. The accident left her with a C2 vertebrae injury, pinching a nerve that controls her arm. Now, she can’t walk and is in constant pain.
