So - as the saying goes “every little bit helps” - we’re in need of a little help … Last night as Diesel and I were playing fetch in the backyard like we do every night .. he jumped up to catch his ball, and landed terribly wrong ending in a broken leg - Mom and Dad scrambling to find an emergency vet that would take him (wouldn’t even think that would have been a challenge) we drove an hour to Commerce and were seen at MedVet - Diesel was X-rayed and Splinted totaling an unexpected $1900 and 6 hours in the emergency vet - with surgery ahead we’re looking at an additional $3,500-$9,000 .. and unfortunately we just don’t have the extra unexpected funds at this time - We’re asking for a little help moving forward with Diesels recovery and Dads pocketbook… as Mom is now on summer break from work, thankfully this does make it a little easier to be able to tend to his care - he’s a very active and spunky dog, so keeping him calm and stationary is gonna become a challenge once the meds are done - Ended our summer last year with broken bones - starting our summer this year with broken bones - we’d really love to catch a break … just not of the bones. ❤️was a scary and stressful experience, and we are doing everything we can to make sure they get the best care possible. The injury happened suddenly, and the costs for surgery and treatment have quickly added up. Seeing our dog in pain was heartbreaking, and I knew I had to act fast to get them the help they needed. The vet recommended surgery to repair the leg, along with medication and follow-up care to ensure a full recovery.
