My dog is only 3 years old, but we’re facing a tough diagnosis. She was just diagnosed with Symmetrical Lupoid Onychodystrophy (SLO), an autoimmune disease that causes painful inflammation, nail loss, and abnormal regrowth. SLO is the most common immune-mediated nail disorder in dogs and can lead to pain and lameness, even in otherwise healthy pets.

To give her the best chance at a happy, pain-free life, I need to take her to a specialist who can create a treatment plan for medicines and pain management. The costs for these visits, medications, and ongoing care are overwhelming, but I want to do everything I can to help her feel better and enjoy many more years together.
