Help My Dog See Again — And Help Me Save His Life
This has been the hardest week of my life.
On Monday, my dog suddenly went blind. Just like that. One day he was walking around like normal—eating treats, being his sweet self—and the next, he was bumping into everything and couldn’t even find his way to his water bowl. He looked scared. So scared. And I was too.
We rushed him to the vet. Then a specialist. Then x-rays. Bloodwork. More appointments.
And now we know why: he has lymphoma.
He’s only 8 years old. A standard poodle who’s been healthy and happy his whole life. He’s never been just a pet—he’s my best friend, my family. He’s been with me through some of the worst and best moments of my life. And now I’m trying to do the same for him.
His eyes are full of blood because of high blood pressure from the cancer. That’s why he can’t see. But the vets think that if we can get him started on chemo, he might get some of his vision back. And even more importantly, he can live. He can get better.
And he wants to. He’s still eating. Still drinking. He still wags his tail when he hears me walk into the room. He’s still trying. He just… needs help.
We’re taking him to the UF veterinary oncologist on Monday. If they say yes, he’ll start chemo right away. And I’m scared, but I’m ready to do anything to fight for him.
Chemo, tests, meds, bloodwork—it’s going to add up to somewhere around $6,000 to $10,000. And we’re doing everything we can, but we need help.
If you’ve ever loved a dog like family, you’ll understand why I’m doing this. He’s not ready to go. And I’m not ready to let him.
Even just $5 would mean so much. If you can’t donate, please share. Or just send him some love.
I just want to see him feel good again. To see the world again.
To be able to play ball again like he used to.
To not be scared in the dark.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring.
