Help My Disabled Friend Pay Rent and Bills!

My friend, who goes by Charlie, has been exceptionally unlucky throughout her life. Despite being a brilliant, kind, and selfless person, she has not been able to catch a break. I am hoping that, together, we can give her the material opportunity to get the mental rest she needs so that she can thrive and be there for her loved ones, including her daughters (8 and 6 - faces blurred for privacy).

Born to two heroin addicts (but never having used it herself), she has had a lifetime of health problems that go back to the very beginning. Her way of telling the story is that the first things she did were eat sh*t and die, and that she got really good at eating sh*t. In my opinion (based on the stories she has told me, which I wholeheartedly believe), Charlie has been a victim of abuse multiple times. She has lost everything and is only very infrequently able to see her daughters, who she loves and is desperate to be able to spend more time with.

Things were starting to look up when she moved in with me; however, her luck was short-lived when shortly after she had a cancer scare, which is hopefully only a cyst, but which she will need a biopsy for. With this and the many other stressors in her life, her mental health as an autistic and ADHD person who has faced trauma and depression took a nosedive, and she decided, correctly (for the sake of the efficacy of her work), that a leave of absence was in order. Her doctors agreed, and she was hopeful that she would be able to receive payments promptly. However, she has had difficulties for about a month now trying to obtain and supply the necessary paperwork - including spending all of the money she had left going to Salem to obtain paperwork that still turned out to be incorrect. The absurd stress and expended executive functioning have been counterintuitive to the rest she absolutely needs in this extremely overwhelming time, and she is still waiting on the money she needs to pay rent and her outstanding bills. She is also very concerned about the toll this is taking on her credit score, which she had been slowly rebuilding after having her life be completely upended by these multiple traumas in such quick and constant succession.

I wish that she had the support systems that I have been lucky to have throughout my life as someone with very similar health conditions, because she needs a break and the opportunity to discover how to better her health so she can do the things she's trying to do to better her life. She wants to, one day, go to pharmacy school. She wants to get her license so she can visit her daughters more and give them a better life with more opportunities than she has had. She wants to see her daughters in general, and her inability to travel to and from where they live (quite far away) is killing her. She has so many brilliant, creative ideas that she wants to be able to see to fruition, but has been beaten down over and over and needs a break.

Please, if you are able, help my friend be able to get the mental rest she desperately needs, and help her get out of some of her debts so she can rebuild her life. I know that with the right supports, she could--and will--contribute so much to her family, our society, and our world.
