Help My Disabled Father Reclaim His Home from Fraud & Wrongful Foreclosure
Rodrigo Vargas-Guerra — elderly disabled dad, and now facing wrongful eviction after a fraudulent foreclosure sale. Help Us Fight to Save My Father’s Home After Mortgage Fraud & Wrongful Foreclosure
My name is Priscilla, and I’m raising funds on behalf of my elderly disabled father, Rodrigo Vargas-Guerra, who was recently victimized by mortgage fraud and is now at risk of being forcibly removed from his longtime home in Henderson, Nevada.
In 2016, my father was deceived by a man he trusted from church — someone who pretended to be an attorney and offered to help modify his mortgage. Instead, that man, Felipe Abraham Lopez, along with his wife and stepson, had my father unknowingly sign a fraudulent quitclaim deed. Years later, they sold the property under his name without his consent.
We filed a civil lawsuit in Clark County District Court (Case No. A-24-901239-C) and recorded a lis pendens, which put the world on legal notice that this home was in dispute and under litigation.
But despite all that — and despite the criminal investigation that’s currently underway — my father’s home was still sold at public auction on July 22, 2025, for $292,000.
We now face:
• An immediate threat of eviction
• A wrongful foreclosure we are fighting to reverse
• The legal battle of our lives to restore ownership
We are urgently seeking funds to retain private legal counsel, file motions to void the foreclosure sale, and stop the eviction process while the fraud case is still pending.
My father is a kind, humble, and disabled man who never asked for much. He worked hard his whole life to support his family. Watching him lose his home this way has been heartbreaking and infuriating.
We are not giving up. We just need help.
Please help us defend his rights and fight back against the people and systems that failed to protect him.
Every donation — no matter how small — helps cover legal fees, document filings, court appearances, and the fight to reclaim his dignity and his home.
Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting.
With all my heart,
Priscilla
