Hi! My name is Karolina and I would like to share my uncle's story with you. My dear uncle, Andrzej Murawski, my mother's twin brother, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in November 2016. He is 63 years old and lives in Tczew, Poland. He has a loving wife, Grazyna. He has two loving sons: Tomek and Karol. He has three grand children who he adores: Ola, Karolina and Nina.

My uncle has been in my life since I was a newborn. Even though we have always lived thousands of miles apart, my uncle is one of my closest family members. I grew up going to Poland to visit my uncle and all of my family ever since I was in elementary school.  As an only child I have an extremely close bond with all of my Polish cousins, aunts and uncles and have a very special place in my heart for them and for Poland.

The last time I saw my uncle before his diagnosis was at my cousin Magda's wedding, where everyone had a wonderful time. It was such a shock to shortly thereafter find out that my uncle was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Our family was devastated but we also knew how strong my uncle is! My uncle is a fighter.

My cousins, Tomek and Karol, have started a fundraising page on a Polish platform; however, when I tried to donate via the Polish platform, I was unable to so I decided to start a go fund me page. All of the funding from this go fund me will be routed to my uncle in Poland to help with medical expenses.
