Help a Family Facing Crisis After Sudden School Removal
Hello, my name is Tracee Wallace, and I am reaching out during one of the hardest moments our family has ever faced.
On October 16, 2025, our lives were turned upside down when the California School for the Deaf Fremont abruptly removed my deaf daughter from the program. Since that day, the district has not been able to find a suitable placement for her educational and communication needs.
My daughter has now been out of school for months, isolated from peers, without access to the education and support she deserves. As parents, we have been fighting every day to ensure she receives the services she is legally entitled to—yet the system has left her with nowhere to go.
Why We Need Help
Because my daughter requires full-time supervision and support, I was forced to quit my job to be home with her. This was not a choice—there was simply no safe or appropriate alternative for her.
We have now reached a devastating point where we are on the verge of losing everything:
• We are falling behind on rent/mortgage
• Bills are piling up
• We are struggling to afford basic necessities
• Our family’s financial stability has collapsed overnight
I’m doing everything in my power to advocate for my daughter, but while the district continues to search for a placement, I’m left without income, without answers, and without a timeline.
How Your Support Helps
Your contribution—no matter the size—will help us:
• Keep a roof over our heads
• Cover essential bills and groceries
• Support our daughter’s immediate needs while she is without schooling
• Maintain stability during this unexpected and overwhelming crisis
Our Promise
We are a family doing our best in an impossible situation. We would never ask for help unless it was truly necessary. Every donation goes directly toward keeping our family afloat until my daughter is finally placed in an appropriate educational environment—something every child deserves.
Thank You
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with us as we fight for my daughter’s right to an education, safety, and stability.
Even if you cannot donate, sharing this campaign means the world to us.
With gratitude,
Tracee Wallace & Family
